FBAA Account for 17% of MM Broodmare Sale

The 2024 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale forged new sale records when the hammer came down on Imperatriz selling for $6.6 million. For the 473 lots sold (641), the sale grossed $97m ($107m) with a clearance rate of 83.6% (78.2%) at an average of $206,422 ($215,255) and median of $95,000 ($100,000). Despite a higher clearance rate, the total gross was down from last year’s results. 

Of these figures, the FBAA members totalled 70 purchases accounting for 15% of the lots sold and 17% of the gross. Six members grossed over $1M each in total purchases for their clients with Boomer Bloodstock leading the FBAA buyers table with the purchase of 11 lots for a total of $3,575,000.
