The Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale produced strong results across the board again this year to kick off the yearling sale season in Australasia. Book 1 grossed $224m ($230m) for the 810 lots sold (790) with a clearance of 87% (90%) at an average of $277,088 ($291,343) and median of $200,000 ($210,000), which was slightly down on the 2023 figures.
The FBAA members were out in force advising clients on the purchase 148 yearlings in book 1 accounting for 20.4% of the gross and 18.3% of the quantity of stock sold.
Suman Hedge lead the FBAA buyers table being involved in 13 purchases for $7.86m
