FBAA Members account for 23% at Premier

The Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale produced another strong edition, the third best in history, although moving back from the heights of 2022 to levels experienced pre-covid.

Book 1 saw 435 yearlings sell at a clearance rate of 80% with a gross of $58.7m.  The Average and median were both down on 2022 levels to $135,147 ($157,694) and $100,000 ($140,000) respectively.

19 FBAA accredited agents were out in force involved in the purchase of 80 yearlings in Book 1 for a total spend of $13,652,000 representing 18% of the horses sold and 23% of the gross.  

John Foote led the way with 12 purchases on behalf of clients for $1,575,000.
